Manage the day to day budget and administrative operations of the College of Arts and Sciences including the oversight of 18 instructional units and associated programs, centers and initiatives, a total operational budget of $56M annually. Responsible for monitoring all operational and restricted accounts associated with the College and assisting any faculty, staff and students needing funding for academic and administrative programs. Responsible for reviewing and drafting contracts for Memoranda of Agreement/Understanding between the College and outside organizations. Manages all full-time staff needs for a staff of approximately 100.

Managed all internal research funding for faculty and processed all reimbursements for travel, equipment, and supply purchases. Reviewed all part-time and student hire requests and reviewed hourly rates for consistency. Assisted with the training of all new financial administrative staff in the College and served as the front-line for all questions and issues relating to the day to day operations of the College's departments.

Managed the daily affairs of the departmental office including all budgetary needs, hiring, faculty affairs, course scheduling, event planning and administration of the department's endowments.

Responsibilities included teaching classes on Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Also assisted professors with software support as well as serving as one of American University's system administrators for BlackBoard. Gained extensive experience by designing instructional video podcasts and writing software documentation for faculty, staff and students.

Designed and published the student yearbook, student t-shirt, and any publications needed by the school or professors during the summer. Photographed all events, featured speakers, and produced the end of the summer slideshow of photos.

Served as a liaison between the administrative branch of Residence Life and the student Resident Assistants (RA). Directly supervised 14 RAs and indirectly supervised 300 students. Responsible for dealing with high-risk situations such as alcohol poisonings, drug overdoses, physical altercations, suicide attempts, fires, and various other incidents. Wrote reports of policy violations and other dangerous situations that occurred on a campus of 1,100 students.

Managed a staff of 14 responsible for the production of media, audio/visual needs of the camp, scheduling educational and social events for the students, and four office assistants. Responsibilities included maintaining accurate daily records of attendance for 400 students, scheduling classroom needs, answering the office phone, scheduling shifts within the office, and serving as personal assistant to the full-time Governor's School Administrative Assistant.
