I built the internal communications strategy at Guidewire from the ground up, serving a global community of 2,300+ employees. This includes channel management, leader communication and change communication. My game plans resulted in Guidewire's ranking as #3 in Glassdoor's Best Places to Work in the US in 2016 and a sustained 20% increase in employee engagement for company meetings.

I created educational and engaging employee experiences while establishing Guidewire's first internal communications initiatives. By delivering high-impact programs while demonstrating Guidewire's core values of collegiality, rationality and integrity, I earned the company-wide Hero of the Quarter award in 2016. These programs included building a global new hire orientation to consistently accelerate speed to productivity, as well as crafting onboarding and integration experiences for acquired companies. Both averaged employee satisfaction ratings above 90%.

I joined LinkedIn pre-IPO and held diverse roles on the communications team as the company went public and experienced hypergrowth. My experience includes:*Designed and delivered trainings to thousands of LinkedIn members and journalists via in-person and web-based sessions, customized for each audience to help them get the most out of LinkedIn.*Built and managed training program to empower LinkedIn’s 5,000+ global employees to engage in public presentations. Program also organized strategic speaker placements by the PR team. *Led and supported communications strategies for both internal and external audiences. Included corporate, consumer and product launches resulting in targeted media coverage.*Managed LinkedIn’s member success story program to spread awareness of how members leverage LinkedIn. Included growing and moderating the Friends of LinkedIn Group on LinkedIn (with 2,000+ members) and placing LinkedIn success stories and tips & tricks in top-tier media outlets. Also directed LinkedIn member involvement in LinkedIn’s town hall with President Obama.*Provided ongoing coaching to company spokespersons for media and speaking engagements.*Delivered External Relations portion of weekly onboarding training to new employees, resulting in highest effectiveness rating from new hires among all sections of orientation.*Fielded inbound media inquiries and organized interviews for LinkedIn executive spokespersons in top-tier media outlets, including The New York Times and Bloomberg Businessweek. Crafted and delivered crisis communication trainings for California Primary Care Association member clinics. Wrote the communications section of the mass evacuation plan for a catastrophic earthquake in the Bay Area. Managed client interactions; process development and timelines; production of deliverables and contractual reporting for diverse projects, including media relations and public meeting facilitation.

Developed and delivered twice-weekly lectures to 50 undergraduate students. Provided live coaching and written evaluation to each student for the four speeches delivered each quarter. Graded additional coursework; tracked and reported grades.

Created new content, in cooperation with compliance department, for "social responsibility" and "careers" sections of corporate public website. Developed and edited content for new microsite featuring generational research data. Assisted in media spokesperson training workshops for Schwab executives. Researched and maintained database of influential companies in markets with Schwab offices for 2008 annual report mailing.

Planned and executed special events individually and as part of a team, including weddings, business meetings, and Lodi Wine and Chocolate Weekend. Designed and published wine club brochure, monthly newsletter, event menus and marketing collateral using Adobe Illustrator. Managed winery website. Represented winery at conventions like Zinfest San Francisco, as well as at local events.

Wrote and distributed news releases. Developed and pitched stories to local media. Managed media-tracking database, using Vocus. Produced monthly report of all media coverage for University executives, using Adobe InDesign. Authored two-page feature article in quarterly alumni magazine (circulation 50,000).
