I worked with both WWF Sweden Cities and WWF U.S. Food Loss and Waste teams to advance cross-cutting issues for urban food system transformation. With this unique collaboration I accelerate the shift towards sustainable diets, and the reduction of food loss and waste in the urban context globally. With WWF I created and communicated policy tools, learning.

My goal in this role was to accelerate the shift towards sustainable diets in the urban context globally by developing WWF's international working group on urban food systems. I worked to create and communicate policy tools, learning cases, and behavior change guides for local governments.

Over nine months, I conducted action research with WWF, connecting and advancing work in the climate-urban-food nexus. I explored the role cities can play in transforming their urban food systems and how national and international institutions can empower their work to be tools for climate and social action.

As a sustainability specialist with Keep Truckee Green, Truckee's Solid Waste and Recycling Department, I worked to engage the Truckee community on issues relating to waste reduction and climate change. In this role I launched new waste reduction programs, developed and designed videos, marketed zero waste content and communication campaigns, and conducted.

As I CivicSpark Fellow I worked with the Town of Truckee to increase their capacity for climate mitigation and adaptation. This work included helping develop Truckee's climate action plan to reduce the Town's greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2040. I have connected with over 500 residents through outreach and engagement, researched science-based solutions.

Orange County, California Area

My team was chosen as 1 of 4 student social ventures in the nation to receive funding and mentorship to develop mobile app "Extra Eats" to reduce campus food waste and food insecurity. Extra Eats presented work at the Sustainable Brands Conference in Detroit, Michigan and discussed the power of mentorship in student social entrepreneurship with Sambazon.

Center For Sustainability

Bridging the Center for Sustainability and Parking and Transportation Services, I worked to help Santa Clara University meet their goal of carbon neutrality by 2029 by reducing the number of single occupancy vehicles commuting to campus. In this role I helped develop and implement strategic goals and actions for the university's carbon neutrality strategic.
