Along with one other high school student and the assistance of a marketing firm, I organized a local sister march to the national March for Our Lives event held in Washington, D.C. We were solely responsible for communicating our event to the general public (which entailed local radio and news station appearances, the daily upkeep of multiple social platforms, and recruiting the assistance of other local high school students.) We also communicated our event to local and state politicians and organized these representatives' participation in our event. We were also responsible for dividing the labor amongst our volunteers, partnering with local organizations and vendors, and fulfilling bureaucratic requirements. Ultimately, our event was very successful. The estimated attendance, which registered within a range of 15-30,000, exceeded our initial expectations of 2,000 max. Show less
