I joined Parks Canada and the Municipality of Jasper on a 5-month contract to begin the process of updating zoning regulations to permit Accessory Dwelling Units in the townsite.

Responsible for the Urban Places Unit in the Policy Development section. A key focus of Urban Places is developing integrated land use and transportation policies, strategies, and plans for Edmonton's urban areas.

In this role I continued to lead and steward the Main Streets program, the delivery of the 2015 Edmonton and Region Household Travel Survey, and the City's various New Mobility and Automated Vehicle initiatives. I also mentored staff in the Transportation Policy group and participated in various initiatives related to Transportation Master Plan implementation.

I joined the City's Transportation Policy group to assist on the delivery of the Household Travel Survey, and within this led the communications strategy and outreach efforts. In this position I also co-led the development of the City's Main Streets Guideline, and initiated the study of transportation and land use impacts of automated vehicles.

Leading the business development efforts and transportation planning practice in the Edmonton area.

Investigating travel behaviour trends in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area using the complete Transportation Tomorrow Survey dataset (1986 - 2011), and striving to make these complex travel demand data accessible to a broader audience via GIS and other graphic communication tools.

Consulting with residents of mid-sized cities to understand barriers to sustainable travel.

My graduate thesis work involves researching sustainability issues in mid-sized Canadian cities and includes case studies of travel behaviour in Kamloops, BC and Milton, ON. I have also participated in:- Developing a GIS based travel demand visualization tool: TDViz. - Assessing the relationship between built form and mobile source emissions through case studies of six Canadian cities.

I completed a variety of multi-modal transportation planning assignments including: complete street feasibility studies and corridor plans, community-level transit feasibility studies, transportation impact assessments, neighbourhood-level transportation plans, and transportation master plans.
