I work with students to improve response inhibition, emotional control, and metacognition. This helps them develop strategies for better social interactions and avoid conflicts in personal and professional settings. My coaching assists students in skills like task initiation, working memory, planning/prioritizing, organization, time management, and goal-directed persistence. These skills are essential for completing school projects effectively and avoiding last-minute stress. I work with students who have trouble keeping track of their belongings, including homework, school books, phones, keys, and extracurricular equipment. My coaches help develop organizational systems and routines to ensure everything stays in its place.

As a Workshop Instructor and Tutor with Educational Endeavors, I execute outcome-based lessons tailored to students’ needs, promoting self-efficacy, executive functioning, and organizational skills. I plan and conduct test prep workshops to prepare learners for high-stakes standardized testing. Additionally, I support students of all levels in mathematics, language arts, science, and reading comprehension. In my role as a private technique coach, I create training plans to help meet clients’ climbing goals. As a group climbing instructor, I develop and execute lesson plans that allow beginners to gain comfort with the gym and more experienced climbers to develop technique and endurance. I create a social experience in the facility that encourages membership retention and lifelong climbing enjoyment.Safety is our top priority, and I ensure all class participants and clients are meeting safety standards and using equipment properly.

I helped develop a 4-month pipeline for young males who've had involvement in the criminal justice system in Chicago to teach them how to succeed in a year-long paid internship. I supported the program's instructors and tutors through coaching to optimize participant academic and social-emotional growth. I advised on and analyzed results from summative and formative assessments to support pedagogical decisions. I supported the recruitment and management of tutors and instructors and helped build and memorialize the mathematics curriculum. I edited and advised on the personal and corporate finance curriculum.

As an Algebra and Physics instructor, I accommodated and modified assignments and content for students with a variety of learning needs. Using a variety of pedagogies such as the Harkness Model and project-based learning, I increased student ownership of objective mastery. I shared ownership over student mastery using Accelerated Math and a student-maintained mastery tracker. While at Bulls, I founded and managed the Bulls Book Club, an effort to engage low-performing students in literacy.

As a contractor for this 20% project, I developed and organized classplans and classbooks within Gooru, a web application that serves as a resource for math and science educators and students grades 5-8. I researched and categorized open education sources, including educational videos, applications, interactives, texts, and quizzes, according to each math classplan. I ensured that the mapping of lessons accurately corresponds to the taxonomy of California state education standards. I then tailored classplans to educators, providing appropriate lesson plans and teacher resources, and structured classbooks so that they would be most useful to students by selecting and organizing the most useful resources.

I student taught for nine months in Eighth Grade Math, Accelerated Algebra 1, and a support class for struggling math students. While at Clague, I practiced a variety of teaching methods, often incorporating technology into lessons. I had the opportunity to found a daily Homework Lunch Club, in which I created an environment of support for students' relationships with mathematics through mentorship and conversation. I chaperoned Fun Nights and assisted in sporting events.

While at Holcim, I conducted monthly, quarterly, and annual EBITDA, overhead, and Distribution Cost analyses. I summarized and reported monthly CEO expenses, travel expenses, EBITDA, distribution costs, and shipping pattern reports. I was responsible for developing and executing processes for collecting specific overhead costs from across the company. I owned and executed the company-wide risk analysis, and I worked within a team to forecast budget assumptions.

As a Compuware intern, I managed a team of six to design and implement a customer management process resulting in a 140% improvement in lead generation and enhanced management visibility. I generated internal and external reports based on industry statistics and competitors for marketing and sales teams.
