Lorelei Erisis has been an activist, adventurer, writer, performer, actor, improviser, storyteller, soda jerk, cage dancer, waitress, a pageant queen and much more!Lorelei was born in Northampton, raised on Cape Cod, and returned to Massachusetts by way of Chicago, Los Angeles and points along the way.She is proudly queer and trans. For ten years Lorelei has written a popular monthly column called “Ask A Trans Woman” for The Rainbow Times newspaper. She appears regularly as a guest and commentator on radio, TV, and various podcasts. She has also worked with the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition, Freedom Massachusetts and other organizations to help improve the lives of trans and gender variant people through advocacy, outreach and legislative protections. Helping to pass historic civil rights legislation and raising awareness of trans issues both in Massachusetts and far beyond. Additionally, Lorelei was a founding board member of the current iteration of Noho Pride; she was the first trans woman to serve at that level in the history of the Northampton Pride organization.Prior to all this, she studied improvisational acting and sketch comedy at The Second City in Chicago and Los Angeles, performing in sketch and improv shows at their theatre in L.A.. While in Los Angeles, she directed and performed with perhaps the first, certainly one of the only, all trans improv groups, “The Fully Functional Players”!Lorelei continues to act, perform improv, standup, and storytelling; including as the co-host and director of the long running show, “Tammy’s Twist” at The Broadway Comedy Club in NYC. One of the first trans produced, hosted, directed and focused comedy show in a mainstream comedy club in the country. Lorelei speaks regularly about gender, sexuality and improv for various organizations, conferences and universities. Currently she is the Assistant Director of Graduate Enrollment at the Smith College School for Social Work!

In my capacity as Vice-President of the Corporate Board of The Transcending Boundaries Conference I am ultimately responsible for helping to oversee the organization and continual growth of our annual weekend long Conference. Specifically my duties include outreach and public relations to other organizations and interested individuals.

As a member of the relatively small Board Of Directors of Noho Pride I have had a hand in many of the directions that the organization has grown in over the last few years. Along with producing an annual event that continues to grow in attendance records and many smaller events, I have helped to oversee Noho Pride's official incorporation as a fully fledged 501(c)3 Non-Profit for the first time in it's 30 year history. In my capacity as Entertainment Co-Chair I was responsible for booking, communicating with and organizing all performers. I also worked with the Entertainment Committee to create the lineup for our annual day long event as well as coordinate all volunteers, staging and production crew and oversee the smooth Production of the show on the day of.As Transgender Liason, I actively worked to make the event more trans inclusive and to involve the transgender community more closely in the aqctual planning and organization of Noho Pride. I am proud to say that by the time I left, Noho Pride was one of the most trans-inclusive LGBTQ Pride Events in the country.

As Executive Assistant to and the sole full time employee of Shelley Janiczek Woodson, PhD., I was in charge of the day to day operations of her office, including most administrative duties. In this capacity I oversaw the scheduling of clients, billing, ordering and tracking stocks of office supplies, dealing with insurance companies, answering the phone, greeting clients, basic office maintenance and data entry, as well as any other duties Dr. Woodson needed performed.
