I monitor and map large scale grading projects along with smaller sites. I map the geology of exposed bedding on the cut-slopes and keyways of grading sites. I utilize and gather bedding attitude data to construct geologic cross sections. I identify bedding formations on site and match them with boring log data. I work on logging of material from rotary wash and hollow stem drilling projects. Other responsibilities include testing soils using a nuclear gauge and sand cone equipment and writing daily reports consisting of observations and numerical data. Interpret geologic and construction maps at different scales. Conduct lab work in accordance with ASTM. I have assisted in training new hires.
