About Erleyvaldo Bispo

Young researcher and entrepreneur Erleyvaldo holds a Technical degree in Agriculture and Livestock from the Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Sergipe (IFS). He graduated in Forest Engineering from the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ).Erleyvaldo ranked first in the Brazilian Young Parliament Initiative in the state of Sergipe (2014). He also served as a volunteer rapporteur at the 8th World Water Forum (2018) and was a guest at the 4th Global Climate Policy Conference (2018). He was the first scholarship holder of the Global Attitude Institute and had the opportunity to represent Brazilian youth at the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development - ECLAC/UN in Santiago, Chile (2019).Furthermore, Erleyvaldo was one of the Young Professionals selected by ARUP and the Stockholm International Water Institute to participate in World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden (2019). In 2020, he took part in the entrepreneurship program of the Shell Youth Initiative with the initiative he leads - Águas Resilientes.Erley had his project among the 5 selected worldwide and the only one from Latin America and the Caribbean for an international challenge addressing urban resilience related to water, by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (2020-2021). He was also selected by the Ekloos Institute and the Coca-Cola Brazil Institute as one of the young impact leaders and underwent a leadership training journey (2021).He published a chapter in a book by Springer Nature on the relationship between water access in Brazil and the COVID-19 pandemic (2021). In 2022, his project was certified by the World Water Forum in Dakar, Senegal. He led one of the 7 regional youth events worldwide with the support of the International Water Secretariat, Solidarity Waters of Europe, and the governments of Switzerland and the Netherlands. During this event, an unprecedented advocacy document from the Brazilian youth was presented at the UN Water Conference in New York City, United States (2023).Erley participated in the Brazil Conference, discussing advances in the sustainability, climate, and education agenda at Harvard & MIT in Boston, United States (2023). He was awarded by the Guandu Watershed Committee in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for audiovisual work addressing the importance of democratic water management (2023). He led the participation of youth involved in the water agenda during COP28 (2023).Founder of Águas Resilientes, whose goal is to transform lives by providing solutions to water access.
