• The Installation & Commissioning (I&C) Manager position manages National Oilwell Varco's scope of installation and commissioning activities on new build drill ships, semi-subs, jack-ups etc.

I started as SW/PLC service engineer, where my responsibilities were to follow up installation and perform pre-Commissioning and Commissioning of the NOV Drilling Equipment.I had the responsibility as Lead Electrical Engineer from mid-2011 to end of 2012, and was in charge of the electrical and software related responsibilities of the commissioning phase.

Responsible for PLC SW and HMI for the Smart Drilling Instrumentation for new projects.This included preparing software and HMI, internal testing and finally Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customer in the NOV facilities in Stavanger.During 2009 I alternated between working on projects in the NOV office in Stavanger and travelling to Site in South.
