Freelance bid manager, writer and editor providing bid and proposal services to companies in the professional services industry (mainly boutique recruitment agencies) and the not for profit sector. I develop the bid strategy including win themes and differentiators as well as author and edit tender responses and advise on compliance requirements.

Working in the Marketing Team and reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, I am responsible for writing, editing and proofing content which supports the objectives of the business. I write content for infographics, blogs, client pitch presentations, corporate brochures, thought leadership reports and more, working closely with the Digital Team and our Graphic Designer. Some of my key achievements include writing a planned calendar of emails to candidates and clients achieving open rates of 53% (double the average for our industry), demonstrating high relevance and engagement. In addition, I repurposed content to create two infographics, an animated slideshow and a blog that all scored higher engagement rates than the original report that had previously received little traction.

As the Bid Specialist for Hudson in Asia Pacific I reported directly to the Executive General Manager of Client Relations. I managed the end to end bid process across the government, industrial and education sectors and wrote all the content for tenders, proposals and client presentations. Some of my key achievements included successfully increasing our win rate from 30% to 45% within one year including winning several multi million dollar contracts; achieved 80% success rate for government tenders (which account for over 50% of all tenders) and recently won a tender with client feedback that it was the best tender they had seen to date. During my time in this role I was nominated three times for an internal award for exceptional performance.

Working for the New South Wales Treasury and reporting directly to the Director of the Whole of Government Expenditure Reviews, I contributed to a project reviewing government expenditure on ICT which informed the 2010-11 Budget. The aim was to obtain an accurate picture of ICT spend across all government agencies and make recommendations for efficiency savings. This required significant stakeholder engagement and cooperation within short timeframes. I was responsible for developing and implementing a communications plan to identify all relevant stakeholders, communicate the objectives of the project, stipulate the information required and timeframes. Some of my key achievements in this role included identifying and resolving key issues which led to greater clarity and compliance. In addition, I planned and managed a series of events to inform all government agencies of the ICT review and timelines. Feedback forms showed that these events scored 9 out of 10 for content, design and information packs provided.

Working in a not for profit membership organisation and reporting directly to the Chief Executive, I was in charge of the policy and campaigns function and media relations.Some of my key achievements in this role included exceeding my media KPI by 60%. I broadened our coverage into radio and television interviews and broadsheets. I personally gave an interview to BBC London on the impact of the recession on charities which aired at prime time. I also developed a strategy for a new business area (best practice) identifying an opportunity to develop new educational products for our members such as publications, guides, workshops, surveys and podcasts which would provide revenue for the organisation.

Working in the Efficiency Team for HM Treasury and reporting to the Director of Communications, I developed and wrote content including presentations, speeches, and ministerial briefings for the largest change programme across the public sector.
