Glass recipes.• Monitoring trends of all the above, taking any necessary actions and looking for process improvements.• Assisted Writing up new and updating SOPs, SSOWs, Risk Assessments and training with department members on up to date procedures.• Stock management.• Observed a Lean Six Sigma champion, safety observations, 5S audits, reporting results and organising any improvements.• Assisting job changes on both cold-end and hot-end, where necessary machine calibrations and bottle specifications ( i.e bottle scanners, moulds, sprayers, etc) were changed.• Assisting quality control line inspection, where bottle testing and gauging were performed manually and automatically.• Final sample and in process testing of products. Testing of goods received. Testing of effluent samples. Calibrating instruments. Using GC, particle size analysis, Karl Fischer, Viscometer, pH meter, moisture balance titrations etc. Keeping stock levels of reagents and other consumables.• Quality control of incoming raw materials and outgoing bulk tankers.Note: I observed and familiarised myself with most of the above process while participating in some.
