The programme had an annual budget of $300m and including desalter refurbishment (2x 75kbd), MOL pump installation, 11kv Switchgear installation, 33k Power Distribution and K44 Bridge rehabilitation. Responsible for establishing the business in Basrah, overall project P&L including the engagement, training and development of local nationals to form a local project delivery teams, maintain client relations, define and manage project scope of works, risks and change management, including, technical reviews, appointing and managing all local sub-contractors.Client liaison, establishing project delivery strategy, processes and protocols.

Team leader with Mott Macdonald for BP on behalf of their Rumaila partners on the rehabilitation of the Rumaila Oil Field in Southern Iraq. Team leader responsible for the installation of all equipment and facilities associated with electrical submersible pumps (ESPs) valued around $100 million. Responsibilities included managing a team of Iraqi engineers to co-ordinate UXO mitigation, appoint and manage civil contractors for installation on concrete well pads and foundations for ESP equipment, appoint and manage electrical contractors for installation of generators fuel tanks and ESP surface drives.

Project Director with P&L responsibility for setting up a construction management division within Johnson Controls and securing £200m turnover per annum mainly from large institutions (BP, ExxonMobil, GSK) across EMEA whilst ensuring that the PM’s delivered maximum project margin.Provided leadership to PMs in HSSE, QA/ QC and guidance/ support on Project and Corporate Quality Audits where necessary in relation to Operations also responsible for approval of Project HSSE and QA/QC project plans and monitoring effective implementation.
