In this contract position it was necessary to acquire Public Trust Security clearance. I barcoded and logged all new equipment (400+) in accordance to VA IT policies, regulations and procedures. I imaged/configured desktop and laptop units (300+) in accordance with VA policies and procedures. I copied all user data and settings from old computers to new computers. Using Windows easy Transfer (WET).I installed/configured additional user specific software as required. I setup and installed IT equipment including workstations (40+), laptops (200+), printers (40+), monitors (100+), monitor arms (50+), power units (15+), and other related peripheral items as warranted/required. I removed, cleaned, and prepared old equipment for excess processing in accordance with VA IT regulations, policies, and procedures. I maintained an accurate inventory of new computer equipment as it was installed and old computer equipment as it was removed. I troubleshot and resolved any issues that were related to hardware and software, and I also responded to any user questions in regards to the new equipment installed. I used Microsoft Lync to communicate with users before and after deployment on new equipment. I also used Lync to take control of a user laptop/desktop to troubleshoot or remedy a user’s issue.
