U.S. Xpress is the second largest privately held trucking company in the United States. As a Pricing Analyst for U.S. Xpress Logistics (Brokerage) it was my responsibility to evaluate, financial, industry and market data to determine appropriate long term contracted rates for Solo, Team, Flatbed and Reefer freight that is moved by U.S. Xpress Logistics and its underlying carriers. Daily activities encompass evaluating multiple time sensitive RFPs, RFQs and RFIs for current and potential customers, creating and tracking CRM opportunities as well as determining rates and capacity within our network. Coordination/between departments occurs on a routine basis for each opportunity as outlined below. • Legal-(NDA, GTCs) • Billing-(Publishing Rates) • Operations-(Rates imposed are implemented effectively) • Sales-(Working with our regional VPs to bring in new customer contracts) • Customer-(Work with customer management or analysts to contract rates and better understand their supply chain network) In addition, a typical process includes collaboration with upper and executive management across multiple departments to ensure that the pricing strategy undertaken aligns with the long term goals of business development.

Analyzed and compiled internal financial data to create more cost effective methods and reports for the logistics department. This data was used to promote a more efficient cost system and process flow Daily duties included; analyzing and presenting revenues, margin, profit and creating metrics in Excel to meet management needs and goals.
