Ernest Tai is a Scientist II at Unnatural Products Inc.. Colleagues describe them as "I have known and worked with Ernie for over a decade. I first met Ernie when he was hired onto the immunology group to do invitro work. Ernie was able to jump right in and perform routine assays that were part of our weekly screening. Ernie comprises a vast experience of handling primary and immortalized cells. He developed cell-based assays investigating phospho proteins, signaling cascades, cytokine/chemokine profile and cell survival. The assays he developed were instrumental in characterizing compounds and driving SAR. I watched Ernie succeed as he set and achieved professional and personal goals. His accomplishments were deservingly met with promotions and outstanding yearly reviews. After a few years, Ernie transitioned to the In-vivo group where he quickly acquired knowledge and skills working with rodents. His skills include animal handing, dosing, dissection, implantation of tumors, harvesting multiple organs (from brains to lymph nodes), Immunophenotyping of isolated cells, and cytokine/chemokine profiling. His accomplishments made him an invaluable contributor to the team. On a personal level, I have enjoyed the 10+ years working side by side with Ernie. He is kind, generous, easy to work with and an overall good person. I hope to cross paths and work with him again."
