As Vice President of Information Technology, it was my responsibility to build on the departments success in solidify the good team culture and SDLC processes we put in place when I was the Director. I maintained the IT budget and oversaw the development team revamping of the primary application. I also led the Keep the Lights On (KLO) team, Helpdesk team, Data development team, System and Networking teams.

As the Director of IT I oversaw multiple project initiatives, maintain Keep the Lights On (KLO) team, Helpdesk team, Data development team, System and Networking teams. As well as led and maintain the SQL databases and ETL processes which consisted of a team of SQL developers. This SQL team accomplished building out new automated ETL process using Azure Logic Apps and Azure Data Factory to pull in data from third parties into our Intake database and process through the data warehouse. This reduced the time to have the data refreshed and updated by 2.5 hours. I also Led and maintain the primary application which consisted of a team of developers, business system analysts, and QA’s. We established processes in support of the primary application using agile methodology and SDLC. Downtime went from average of 8 to 10 hours a month to no outages in the last 14 months.

As the Director of IT, I led team of SQL developers responsible for writing SQL queries for data trends and data tracking, as well as leading reporting team using Power BI and a proprietary reporting system called ORS. Used ETL tools such as Azure Data logic, Azure Data Factory, and Pentaho to run nightly jobs that extract data and load into databases. I managed and maintained databases in Azure PAAS and instances in AWS. This reduced the overhead of maintaining physical servers and storage. I also led the helpdesk and desktop support staff. Some of my accomplishments were the migration of MUSA on-premises systems (acquired from previous acquired company) to AWS. This included the MySQL database to AWS as well as reconfiguration of all ETL jobs, reporting, and system jobs.

At MarkOne I Supported and managed three datacenters in Jacksonville, Dallas, and Los Angeles. I also managed the helpdesk and desktop support staff. My accomplishments were creating a MPLS between the three sites with a VPN tunnel between sites for backup connection with the firewall between Jacksonville, Dallas, and Los Angeles. With the redundant connections between each site allowed for no lost of business connection. Other accomplishments were the ability to move two datacenters to other locations single handed with no downtime. This is a credit to attention to detail and planning.
