I have been working in Healthcare over 25 years. I started at Methodist Dallas Hospital with a CNA license from El Centro where I worked as a Patient Care Tech. Through my CNA license in 1997, I was taught through Methodist Hospital, how to do venipunctures on patients of all ages such as pediatrics, as well as geriatrics. Because of my love for people I grew to love Phlebotomy , and decided to enrolled El Centro which is formerly known as Dallas College to received my Certificate in Phlebotomy. After pursuing my certificate in Phlebotomy and ventured into a clinic setting at Quest Diagnostics and I worked at Quest for 14 years, I worked as PST, Floater, and Site Lead. I was Offered a job at Healthcare Clinics under the leadership of Dr. R. Skufka and Laura Miller, I was hired as a Phlebotomy Supervisor for their lab. I coordinated staff schedule for the lab, work with team of doctors ensuring daily tasks of their patients were satisfied, assist in operating different machines and equipment in the lab such as pregnancy test, hemoglobin, CBC, thyroid panels, drug screens both hair follicles and urine observed. Although I loved working at Health care Clinics they did not offer benefits at that time. I was offered a job at LabCorp in Clinical Research but I missed the interaction and one on one time with my patients and ventured back into the clinical setting at Patient service Center I was hired as PST Team Lead and I love my job and grateful for the opportunity LabCorp Scholarship to return back to school as a Health Care Compliance and Regulations. My priority is to tackle Medicare and Medicaid Fraud under my degree and work as a Fraud Investigator.
