DNER Lead for Sunken Vessels and Nearshore Marine Debris removal after Hurricane Maria (2017-2018). Prepared and submitted two Section 428 coral reefs repair projects to FEMA (Cost: $5 million) First time a project of this nature has been been approved for public assistance by FEMA. Prepared 44 HMGP projects. The San Juan Coral Reef Barrier project may be the first project of this nature approved by FEMA to reduce coastal risks at a cost of $10.3 million

The Administrator of Natural Resources is the highest position reporting to the Secretary of Natural and Environmental Resources. As Administrator I was responsible for the overall development and administration of the Mineral and Water Resources, Flood Control projects, Fisheries, Wildlife, Natural Protected Areas, Forests, Natural Reserves, Marine Reserves, Wildlife Refuges, Coastal and Marine Resources Management, among a total of 212 projects. In this capacity as Administrator I had to assess science directions and user needs; set program goals and objectives; plan, organize, and implement program activities; coordinating implementation with relevant Federal, Commonwealth(State) , Municipal governments, NGOs, resource users, and community-based groups. Average funding administered: $49 Million (State) and $17 Million (Federal)
