Ernesto Raymat Lopez studied percussion at the Conservatory of Manuel Saumell, graduating with honours awards in his field. In 2005 he began the specialty of percussion at the conservatory ‘Amadeo Roldan’ graduating as a ‘Performer in Percussion’ as well as ‘Professor and Ensemble Performer’ with honours in 2008. He has been part of several groups directed by professor Margarita Ponce at events such as the Pedagogy 2007 and the 45th anniversary of the UJC. Always striving for more he was also part of the National Youth Orchestra at the conservatory, participating in the 4th and 5th National meeting Symphony Orchestra at the American Cantant International Festival. Apart from being a spectacular performer he is also highly experienced in studio recordings where he concluded the recording of the CD ‘Refanfinfla’ produced by ‘Wytwornia Jazz Klub’ and recorded at ‘Toya Studios’ Lodz, Poland. During December 2015 Jan he was invited by Mr Badowki, senior director of ‘ Stanislawa Moniuszky School of Music’ in Lodz, to conduct various theoretical and practical workshops of Cuban music and its influence in modern Jazz Ernesto Raymat has been performing since the past 10 years across Europe, Latin America and of course now the Middle East. He has performed at certain important events such as the opening ceremony of the International Book fair in 2010, in the presence of the Russian Minister of culture and the President of the Republic of Cuba. In 2014 he was invited by Diana Grarcia Silveiro as a percussionist at a concert by Chamber Orchestra of Havana in the room ‘Ignacio Cervantes’. Since moving to Oman in 2015 he has performed at several exclusive events such as the launch of Ferrari, Lincoln, and Ford including launches of other corporate events from Saud Bahwan, Continental Tyers and many more across Muscat. He is part of a duo, trio, jazz band, Soul band and of course a Latin group performing all styles of music and genres in addition to oriental style percussion.
