Within the academy as well as in the industrial sector I have been involved in several public and private research projects covering multidisciplinary fields. Some of these projects belong to the basic sciencearea, others propose innovative applications developed in collaboration with industrial partners, andother projects have a strong translational component to the medical and clinical fields. I had differentresponsibilities in different stages of the project as task execution, project proposal preparation,coordination, and deliverable preparation, in the academic as well as for the industrial environments.Along with my extensive career, I have acquired interdisciplinary scientific and technical knowledge in thefollowing areas:◦ Machine learning technologies for image and data analysis◦ Computer vision and stereophotogrammetry for industrial applications◦ Medical image management and analysis (MRI, CT, ultrasound, DTI) for brain and heart◦ (Diffeomorphic) image registration, computational anatomy, shape analysis, and morphometry◦ Construction of personalized geometries from medical images◦ Biophysical modeling and simulation of cardiac electrophysiology◦ Numerical calculus and analysis, numerical optimization◦ Good programming skills in scientific and numerical tools with experience in performance-orientedand high-throughput computing techniques.
