As the Head of Financial Reporting, I provide leadership, guidance, technical expertise, and team coordination to the Finance team in the management & financial reporting, financial statements preparation, budget analysis and tax compliance and reporting, as well as process control. I am responsible for carrying-out end-to-end financial (management, regulatory, statutory) reporting and compliance for FSDH Merchant Bank and assist the Financial Controller in ensuring the that the division is effective and well managed.I review relevant regulatory reports for the CBN, NDIC and SEC, as required and also am accountable for integrity and timeliness on all regulatory and management reporting requirements.I drive engagement within the finance team ensuring compliance with reporting standards on existing and new products.I support the Financial Controller with respect to coordination and follow up on all regulatory and external audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards in Nigeria and to IFRS. I collaboratively develop operating policies and procedures, improvement programs and management systems for the attainment of objectives of specific projects for the Finance division. I am responsible for preparation of periodic management reports and analyses as required to support business decisions.I work closely with business, IT and other support areas to design and implement robust management information systems for product and portfolio reporting.I coordinate the preparation of the Fixed Assets and movement schedule ensuring the integrity and completeness of the bank’s fixed assets.

Oversee the preparation of quarterly, half-yearly, and year-end financial reports for the bank, ensuring compliance with financial and reporting policies, statutory, and regulatory requirements.Coordinate the bank's audit exercises by various regulatory bodies, including the CBN and NDIC.Manage the rendition and filing of relevant reports to regulatory authorities, ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.I was in charge of all regulatory issues, maintaining strong liaisons with regulatory bodies to safeguard the bank's interests.I conducted the financial analysis of actual results against budget/forecast, applying industry accounting guidance, and ensuring financial statements adhere to standards.I led the team for the GCR & Agusto rating exercise conducted in the bank.Reviewed the Management Accounts and CBN returns prepared by direct reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
