Ernest (Ernie) Rhoads Prior to working as a Project Manager for WA DSHS Leased Facilities Unit, Ernie worked exclusively as an in-house interior designer for major (Fortune 500) Pacific Northwestern healthcare and corporate organizations for over 25 years. Ernie received his BFA in Interior Design from Seattle's Cornish College of the Arts and became NCIDQ certified in 1994. In 2002 he received an MBA with an emphasis in Management from Seattle Pacific University [SPU] and in 2005 completed a Master's of Science in Information Systems Management also from SPU. June 2010 he became a LEED-AP ID+C. Ernie completed all coursework towards the PhD in Business Philosophy program at Capella University-Minneapolis through the Comprehensive Examination (All but dissertation [ABD])Over the past few years Ernie has volunteered for the National Council for Interior Design Qualification’s (NCIDQ’s) Board of Directors as a Member-at-Large and Finance Committee member. Past volunteering for NCIDQ includes Cut Score Study participant, Examination/Practicum Committee, and Examination Grader.In 2007 he served as the American Society of Interior Designer’s Legislative and Codes Advisory Council Chairman in Washington DC, and was the ASID Washington State Chapter President 2008-2009. Ernie was the founding chairman of the Interior Design Coalition of Washington (IDCW).
