Platform Manager for Consumer Printers (Envy/Officejet Platform)• Operation oversight on all manufacturing/supply-chain/supporting functions, for delivery of New Product Introduction (NPI) objectives including product/quality/factory/capacity/supply-chain/cost/shipment readiness. • Delivered manufacturing capacity of 570K/month for Envy/Office-Jet products in South China in 6 months, through strong engineering execution, as well as partnership/collaboration with the R&D, operation, procurement, and manufacturing partner.• Drove timely execution for factory capacity installation, product qualification, production stabilization and quality/yield initiatives.Engineering Asset Manager for EE/Scan Product Engineering• Oversight on the prototype build/ramp support for 2011/12/13 programs for all HP inkjet products, ensuring timely completion of the EE/Scan manufacturing tasks and closure of design/assembly issues. • Drove site start-up strategy/infrastructure on SMT/PCBA and Scanner Production for new factories in Chong Qing (2012) and Thailand (2013). The move project completed timely with excellent readiness for ramp.• Developed the global framework/strategy for scan module quality improvement project, including test solution/strategy, and scanner development life-cycle. • Standardized the financial planning/budgeting framework for the EE/SMT/PCBA investment for production start-up. It significantly reduced the lead-time for budget planning with good accuracy, and supported scenario study on the fly.Strategic Partner Management - Flextronics• Led the development of the Strategic Partner (Flex) factory resource strategy, including site space/infrastructure planning, factory expansion planning, technical staffing and assignment, as well as the execution of technical training/knowledge transfer. Manage the Wordwide Manufacturing operation for Scanner Product Category.• Responsible for the manufacturing operation for all HP scanners in Asia, with yearly cost-of-sales in excess of USD 150M.• Managed the product/supply-chain cost and shipment performance from factories to regions.• Led the transition of operational responsibility from Singapore to Shanghai.• Set up and coach the Shanghai operation team (product/process/procurement engineering, purchasing, and planning).• Managed the new product transfer from the US R&D lab in collaboration with ODM/OEM/ CDM partners in Asia (Japan/Taiwan/Singapore/China).• Managed the manufacturing start-up with new and/or existing partners.• Managed daily-operation of scanners manufacturing in North/South China, Singapore, and satellite production centers in Japan/USA.• Drove manufacturing-partner and supply-chain strategy to optimize cost and supply-chain performance.
