I have practiced Labor and Employment Law exclusively on behalf of management for almost 30 years. I am the Deputy Managing Member of the firm’s New York City Office and Co-Chair of its Municipalities Practice Group. My practice includes all aspects of public and private sector Labor and Employment Law. I have negotiated well over a hundred collective bargaining agreements for various employers. I counsel my clients on a day-to-day basis on the interpretation of those agreements, discipline and promotion of employees, reductions of the force and numerous other issues. I also perform workplace investigations of employees. I provide advice about the wide variety of federal and state statutes affecting the ability of employers to manage their employees, such as the Family Medical Leave Act and COBRA. A large part of my practice is litigation in state and federal court, and before employment discrimination agencies in various states and the EEOC. I represent my clients in litigation from the discovery phase up to and including jury trials. I frequently provide training to managers and employees of my clients on issues such as sexual harassment and other forms of discrimination in the workplace.I also have extensive experience litigating before the National Labor Relations Board. I frequently lecture before the New York State Bar Association and other organizations, as well at our firm’s Annual Workplace Seminars on a wide variety of legal topics.
