About Ernst Walter Glanzmann

Ernst is a highly qualified portfolio manager with more than 28 years' experience in analysing and successfully investing in Japanese equities. Core of his investment philosophy is his believe that a scarce number of leading firms deliver superior portfolio returns over a longer holding period if purchased for good value. The "Leaders" strategy - a high-quality investment approach developed by Ernst - was launched on 18 July 2008, and from that time onward has been one component of the award-winning GAM Multistock - Japan Equity fund. In addition, the identical Leaders strategy was adopted by the GAM Star Japan Leaders fund on 31 May 2015. The fund has a Bronze Morningstar Analyst Rating since December 2017.
