I love to delve into business challenges and use modern technologies to produce innovative solutions. During my career, I’ve enjoyed spending over a decade building products and companies in the data & artificial intelligence start-up ecosystem and am passionate about transforming how large enterprises develop and launch modern data driven products. I've held a number of senior leadership positions and responsibilities including product management, technical leadership / delivery, innovation leadership and technical sales. I’m critical thinker that's comfortable switching between strategic and operational levels and between technical and executive speech. My personal and professional experiences have taught me the following about myself:I’m a diplomatic problem solver that can effectively frame and scope a product opportunity.- I actively listen to the problem, seek to understand root causes and identify existing work-arounds. - I empathise with the problem space, but don’t assume to know it exhaustively.- I’m obsessed with metrics and quantifying the opportunity / risks to produce it. I understand building and scaling products takes a village and I excel at building high performance teams and collaborators across organisations. - I build teams and organisations from 2 to 100 with a range of complimentary skills and depth to deliver.- I communicate, influence and lead stakeholder groups through a product journey and pre-empt any fears, apprehensions and barriers. - I champion a fail-fast, incremental approach to product development and take early opportunities to validate the highest risks to a product.- I’m passionate about data and analytics and enjoy the complexity, engineering and scientific nuances in the data industry. - I build data products that often need a combination of heavy engineering to handle the volume, but lightweight rapid development environments to handle the flexibility of analytics and exploration. - I use machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies to operationalise intelligence services within larger platforms. - I develop technologies from a privacy first principles and promote data and architecture governance to ensure compliance against internal policy and external regulation. I’ve built and launched products in the FinTech, Telecom/Internet and AgriTech industry verticals with deep insights into the challenges those verticals face.
