Process Engineer
Current-Developed measurement plans and programs for the incoming inspection of battery modules using PolyWorks, Hexagon Arms, and Zeiss CMM. Leveraged 3D scanners for reverse engineering of equipment and battery modules.-Designed and implemented production processes and strategies, guiding products from the R&D phase to fully automated production.-Engineered a process to stack prismatic cells for lithium-ion battery modules, catering to both ESS and automotive customers with tailored solutions.-Developed a process to stabilize compression pads or spacers between lithium-ion cells, ensuring consistent pressure throughout the battery's lifecycle, effectively prolonging module life.-Defined and drove GD&T requirements along with measurement protocols to validate produced goods and production processes.- Applied the DMAIC framework to optimize the geometrical measurement process for battery cells. Defined the goal through a project charter, measured process time using process mapping, and analyzed inefficiencies via root cause analysis and fishbone diagrams. Redesigned the fixture and measurement program to improve the process, reducing cycle time by 58%. Controlled the improved process by implementing standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and detailed work instructions.-Optimized tightening processes for screws and bolts used in cylindrical battery modules, enhancing assembly precision and reliability.
