o Performed foundry technology related support for vertical and horizontal molding Disa foundries around the world (many foundries in the US, China, Russia, Japan, Vietnam, Egypt, Mexico, UAE, Taiwan, Denmark, Italy, France, Spain, India, S.Korea, Israel, Turkey have been served many times).o Set up and run special application projects such as adapting brake caliper and holder production in a non-automotive ductile iron foundry; design, test, run and fine tune gating systems and molding process of a brake-disk-only foundry; adapting matchplate process in a jolt squeeze foundry.o Trouble shoot on casting defects and mold production.o Design and lay out patterns, gating and feeding systems.o Set up, run and fine tune mold filling and solidification simulations.o Adjust and fine-tune foundry process parameters such as metallurgical quality of metal and molding sand properties.o Conduct classroom trainings on foundry applications: molding sand, patterns, cores and core masks, gating systems, and foundry processes.o Conduct on-site hand-on training for Disa molding machine operators.o Prepare molding system feasibility analyses based on product portfolio, molding machine parameters, pattern layouts and determine capacity usage and molten metal / molding sand requirements.
