In addition, I conducted direct-to-client research to inform the development of a Program for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE).

Washington Dc-Baltimore Area

As an intern for the Baltimore Boards and Commissions team, I conducted research on local governmental structures and legislative processes in Newark, NJ and Baltimore, MD to inform IGNITE's expansion plans. Using this research, I created presentations detailing the pressing issues and political structures of the local communities. In addition, I developed an outreach contact database for each target city. These expansion plans will be used to create initiatives to encourage civic engagement among middle school and high school girls. I also collaborated with two fellow interns to develop guides for future interns on how to conduct this research.

I coordinated the instructional and interactive nature-based learning of a group of 10 five-year-olds in order to teach the children about the local wildlife. I formulated the summer curriculum for the group which included hikes, trips to the stream and other immersive activities. I was responsible for the enforcement of COVID-19 safety rules and guidelines so that the group maintained functionalityand efficiency in the midst of the pandemic.I also worked June 2019 to August 2019 and June 2018 to August 2018.
