Executing strategic leadership and management of the comprehensive literacy centers and adult education opportunities across the Northshore region including adult basic education, English language acquisition/civics, and transition services for adult residents. Providing professional development opportunities for program faculty and staff. Responsible for managing multiple federal and state grants, membership on workforce and/or educational boards, co-chair of the Adult Education functional committee of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System.

Developing and implementing strategy to advance and expand testing operations for the college’s testing services. Maintaining contractual agreements, and training requirements for test center administrators and proctors. Engaging the general public, distance learners and students within NTCC programs to address questions regarding registering and scheduling exams at three testing locations through telephone and e-mail. Coordinating testing center efforts with campus officials, departments and community partners. Interfacing with NTCC IT departments and testing vendor IT departments to ensure internet based and computer based testing functionality. Content editor for testing services webpage on the NTCC website. Also responsible for identifying appropriate testing products, marketing and developing relationships with academia, business and industry throughout the area.Accomplishments include increasing efficiency by converting paper based testing locations to computer based testing. Expanded scope of test offerings to include industry based credentials and proctoring services for external and internal candidates.

Responsibilities include: Providing leadership role with a team of 2-3 instructors and paraprofessionals. Managing the site based tasks involving teaching, recruiting, retention and record keeping for the Hammond campus. Teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds, ages and ability the academic, social and professional skills needed to obtain a High School Equivalency credential. Responsible for data management within Student Information System. Interpreting and implementing state and federal policy. Communicating with stakeholders including potential students, family members, school and college officials in person, via e-mail and telephone. Teaching Developmental Education, Medical Math and College Success courses. Additional responsibilities include serving on the Hammond Area Campus Leadership Team.
