About Errol Flanagan

I’m a brand experience strategy specialist. I work with organisations to explore, define and turn strategy into compelling action.My work background is diverse having spent time in music, fashion, mainstream and special needs education, design, business consultancy, marketing and higher education.I have led and work on projects internationally in brand strategy and expression across the marketing mix including design, brand positioning, architecture and brand creation, destination and brand experiences, insights, innovation, communications, leadership and culture. I've been lucky to have worked with some incredibly kind and talented people at great agencies and brands in multiple sectors.My first role in advertising was Nike Planning Director for US and Latin America at Wieden+Kennedy, Portland. In media, I was Head of TV at the world’s first media strategy agency, Michaelides & Bednash, London. As a management consultant I worked at Tom Peters Group in the UK and in brand experience, I was Strategist on the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin (Ireland’s no. 1 tourist attraction since it opened) and leader of the team that created the original brand identity for Eden Project, Cornwall, UK while working at design and communications company, Imagination in London.Since my arriving in Australia in 2006 I've led innovation insights projects in China, helped reposition and launch category challengers, and given clarity and direction to iconic local and global leader brands.I have spoken internationally on subjects ranging from 'Creativity in the World' to 'The Future of Brands'.
