•Tutored and assisted over 60+ students with Aspen Plus capstone project simulations for CHEN426-Plant Design.

•My prime research on the pseudocapacitive mechanism of supercapacitors•Ran OCP, CV, EIS using PINE potentiostat on a three-electrode setup with various Mxenes as the working electrode in different electrolytes.•Characterized Mxene films using XRD and intercalated different metals into the Mxene using potent reducing agents in the Glovebox.•Further, gain hands-on experience with other characterization techniques and also learn to assemble/disassemble coin cells.

-Learnt about inert gasing in packaging and conducting subsequential research to use argon for inert gasing instead of nitrogen.-Argon would increase shelf-life by about 50% and increase the overall quality of the product while maintaining sensory attributes like colour, texture, aroma, flavour etc. -Further understood the role of packaging in E-commerce and how the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a shift in this trend.-My final project was to analyse the Heat seal lacquer industry, researching about the recent developments and benefits of newer technologies ( EVA-based, water-based).-Under the Mentorship of Mr Manik Asija, these findings were presented to Mr Biswajit Basu, Regional Manager Packaging for South Asia, Nestle.

A Mentorship Program of Working with the Professionals and Industry leaders in the field of chemical Process Technology

My role as an Intern was based on the working of a solar power plant. It helped me brush the basics of a SPV, simulation on PVSyst, loss analysis of a solar project and learning more about the developments and policies adopted by the Govt. of India regarding Solar PV.

The MIT India Initiative is a not-for-profit effort of students and alumni from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to delve into pressing problems in novel, challenging contexts, and tackle these with technology and design. The Design, Technology and Social Innovation workshop was held in Mumbai, India, facilitating participants to work on solutions that cut across boundaries of cultures, disciplines, and institutions. MIT and Harvard mentors (with guidance from workshop leadership) will work in teams on problems that relate to their expertise for a week with 300 students from all over India, direct them to potential solutions, and run sessions that challenge workshop students to think outside the box.

Participated and our paper got selected to be the presented at the international conference by QEERI with Hamad bin Khalifa University. The paper has further been selected for the conference proceedings by Springer.

I completed my internship in the Centre for sustainable technologies, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Having worked for 2 months there, I had the opportunity to learn and get hands-on experience with various equipment. My work was based on wastewater treatment under anaerobic digestion. I collected samples from the already set-up membrane biofilm reactors. The reactors had two stages, anaerobic and aerobic. The collected samples from every stage were checked for turbidity, dissolved oxygen levels, and pH. Furthermore, I checked the surfactant (SDBS) present in the samples by using methylene blue and chloroform. I also conducted photo spectrometry for the samples. My principal work was to find the COD of the samples which I did in triplicates for accuracy using the closed reflux method.Another project which I undertook was to find the permissible limit of surfactants at which anaerobic digestion ceases. I conducted this experiment for 30 days using BMP bottles with different feed/inoculum ratios. Knowing the VS of the sludge, the feed(detergent-SDBS) could be comfortably calculated. The test was also done in triplets using gas chromatography to find the CH4 and CO2 production in each bottle.
