I believe in people. I believe in service. I believe in change. These beliefs have resulted in a career spanning government, the nonprofit sector, advocacy, community organizing, lobbying, grant writing, and grant management. While this list may seem like a kaleidoscope of interests, one thing combines all of these professional experiences - a commitment to people and community. My career has taught me many lessons. One of the most powerful lessons is this: the ability to address the most pressing problems in our community, in our world, lies in the power of community. Each community is as powerful as the people that call it home.... and their boldness to become the solution to whatever issues their community may face. What serves as the linchpin for addressing the problems we see around us? Nonprofit organizations. Nonprofits identify and meet needs. They bring diverse people together for a common cause. They leverage resources for the good of those they are designed to serve. They are what hold communities together and push them forward.People are waiting for one person to turn their vision for a nonprofit into a reality. A reality that has the potential to positively impact people for years to come.If you have a desire to be the person who starts a nonprofit to meet a need you see, I'd like to talk with you. If you have already started a nonprofit, but want to ensure that it is sustainable so it is around for years to come, I'd like to talk with you too.You can use the following Calendly link to schedule some time for us to talk: https://calendly.com/smithbrownconsulting, or you can message me on here.
