As a professional and in my personal life, I have always been passionate about agriculture and the pursuit of feeding the world. Growing up on the farm, operating and fixing farm equipment from a young age, I learned the value of hard work, grit and independence that has served me well in my career and life aspirations. It has been my goal since a young age to make a difference in the world by making better tools for farmers like my family. After attaining my B.Sc. degree in Biosystems (Agricultural) Engineering from the University of Manitoba, I had the tools to turn my passion into a career and make the mark on the world I had hoped to.My passion for agriculture has never stopped at being an ag engineer. I have dedicated countless hours of volunteer time with organizations dedicated to preserving agricultural history across Western Canada since I was in my early teens. Currently I sit on the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Agricultural Museum, where I have the amazing opportunity to guide this organization of several hundred members as it goes through a critical transition to a professionally managed organization.
