I love connecting with others. It sounds like the start of a Miss America speech, but I genuinely love being connected with others!My first job while in college started my desire to connect. In my early 20s, I was able to do that by leading teams of teenagers and their rock-star adult leaders to help families in Western North Carolina who needed some assistance with their physical and emotional needs- my team could do it all. From starting as strangers, we quickly connected with the people we were helping. Understandably in my career development, I have pursued roles where I had the chance to connect with incredible humans who make me all the better in learning their stories. I have had the opportunity to connect with great people, from teenagers figuring out life with zestful energy to professionals who have taken me under their wing to mentor me. Connection is necessary for personal growth and is core to the success of an organization.
