I am working with the Hostel Manager in order to improve the company's level of service to enhance the profitability of the hostel.My main responsibilities regarding customer service and front of house include managing online booking systems (optimizing bed spaces and gauging availability), proactively reviewing and responding to customer feedback online and in person, maintaining and coordinating implementation of daily, weekly and monthly hostel tasks.As part of my assistant manager duties, I help the manager to develop and mentor all hostel staff members emphasizing excellent customer service and ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the hostel.As part of my role, I ensure the hostel’s building remains to the highest possible standard, report any issues to the maintenance team and manage their activities to enable works to be completed on time.I also do a end of shift report every week, showing all the yield of the week, the occupancy, the budget, the net bed rate, the reviews and the upcoming maintenance.I am in charge of ordering supplies that the hostel and the housekeeping team would need to operate properly.
