Thesis title : Towards the measurement of spatially resolved NO mole fraction in high-pressure kerosene/air swirled flamesThe objective of the PhD thesis consists to investigate the NO pollutant formation in a high-pressure kerosene/air combustor.The experiment were performed in a new high-pressure combustion facility equipped with an innovative lean-premixed aeronautic injection system.Various innovative laser diagnostics such as PIV, High-speed PIV, Planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) and High-speed PLIF were applied in order to obtain a well-detailed analysis of the effects in realistic operating conditions of the aerodynamic, chemistry and flame dynamics on the NO pollutant formation.Specifically, this thesis focused on various key objectives:1) Elaboration of the stability maps and operating conditions with the LP injection system 2) Determination of the main flow features based on velocity measurements3) Characterization of the flame structure and the interaction between the velocity field and the heat release4) Quantification of the production of NO for various operating conditions.
