I am a senior expert in energy policies, backed by more than 20 years of experience in different energy policy topics, mainly in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy.As a senior expert in energy efficiency, I led or participated to studies on national energy efficiency action plans, industrial energy efficiency, voluntary agreement schemes, energy efficiency obligation schemes, funding programmes and energy audits. I also have operational experience in managing a voluntary agreement on industrial energy efficiency and an energy efficiency obligation scheme and as an energy auditor for the industry.I led the sub-programme on Analysis of innovation support for low-carbon technologies within the EERA E3S Joint Programme between 2013 and 2017.I was in this period also the Vice-President of COGEN Vlaanderen, Belgium. I now am board member of the European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ECEEE).I am a frequent participant of and presenter at energy efficiency related events, some of which are organised by reputed organisations. I am a (co-)author of 6 peer-reviewed papers and (co-)author of 15 conference papers.
