Erwin obtained a degree in technical chemistry from the HBLVA in Vienna, Austria, 1972. In 1984 he attended a senior management program at the MCE in Brussels. Early in his career he worked as a research chemist at African Explosives and Chemical Industries, Johannesburg, RSA and later at Gypkor Ltd. in Cape Town, RSA. In 1977 he joined Nalco Chemical Company in Vienna, Austria, as a sales engineer and developed the market in the refining and petrochemical industry in Eastern Europe. In 1988 Erwin developed and signed a Joint Venture agreement with GIAP in Moscow. In 1992 Erwin was promoted to General Manager of the Unisolv group and relocated to Nalco’s headquarters in Naperville, USA. In 1996 Erwin was appointed General Manager for the Basic Industry division and relocated to Leiden, Netherlands. In 1999 Erwin moved back to Naperville, Illinois, and was appointed General Manager for the Calgon water treatment business.In 2002 Erwin resigned from Nalco Chemical Company and started his own consulting business, namely EJL Consulting Inc. As a consultant he remained very active in the Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical as well as Food & Beverage industries.In 2011 Erwin joined Dorf Ketal Pty., in Mumbai, India. He is in charge to develop and lead all Dorf Ketal business activities in Europe, with a focus on Refining and Petrochemical industries and fuel additives. In particular the introduction of Dorf Ketal's new technologies such as TANSCIENT for napthenic corrosion inhibition. Dorf Ketal’s European headquarters are located in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Dorf Ketal has distributor and agent offices throughout Europe in order to ensure proper sales, marketing and technical support. In 2013 Erwin was promoted to Sr. Vice President after substantial market development and market coverage has been reached throughout Europe.By the end of 2017 Erwin retiered from Dorf Ketal B.V., and works now for EJL Consulting.In February 2020 Erwin started to be an active Consultant for Limpopo Safaris. This South African based Outfitter is specialized in big game hunting providing first class hunting experience with exceptional service for both, beginners and experienced hunters.
