Started his carriers as Animal keeper in a wildlife rescue center in 2002 and 'graduated' in 2011 with the position of assistant manager. Continuing conservation work as a practitioner focused on Javan leopards, fishing cats, and Indonesian carnivores. Assisting the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in improving the effectiveness of conservation area management through technical training and mentoring of biodiversity monitoring; area protection based on SMART-Patrol, and Management Planning-Evaluation using METT scorecard. He actively involved in several ESIA (Environmental and Social Impact Assessment) and HCV (High Conservation Value) Assessments as a mammal expert.In 2018 He cofounded the SINTAS Indonesia Foundation and became Indonesian Representative for the Fishing Cat Conservation Alliance (FCCA/www.fishingcat.org), At the same year, he received a lifetime achievement award on javan leopard conservation from MoEF and Formata. In December 2021, appointed as a member of the Cat Specialist Group - IUCN Species Survival Commission.. and then became a member of the Indonesian Species Specialist Group - IUCN SSC in 2022
