IBM provides Tier 3 customer support, system maintenance, and quality assurance, and software maintenance to verify that the DBSS produces safe, pure, and potent blood products. Support is provided 24/7 throughout the U.S., all North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries hosting U.S. military bases, and all deployed wartime locations, to more than 300 facilities worldwide. I managed the performance team that included team members located in both the U.S. and Canada. I was responsible for profit and loss, business growth through contract modifications for additional services, overall end-user satisfaction, and IBM’s relationship with the DBSS Project Office.
