As a maintenance and reliability engineer, I was responsible for proactively monitoring and responding to malfunctions and the reliability organization. I also closed PDCA cycles at both organizational and human levels to achieve set goals, with the main objective of increasing availability and reliability by reducing the number of malfunctions.Additionally, I monitored contractual performances, determined measures, and managed opportunities and risks to achieve optimal control in financial, quality, process, and legal aspects.My tasks and responsibilities included:- Reducing malfunctions through continuous communication with technicians.- Enhancing and maintaining tools for conducting analyses.- Presenting information about malfunctions in a comprehensible manner for technicians.- Conducting root cause analyses in collaboration with technicians and installation experts.- Learning from malfunctions (PDCA).- Monitoring various processes such as the validation process, RCA process, RUS process, and damage reporting process.- Maintaining communication with various parties.- Engaging with the customer on maintenance-related topics and exploring commercial activities.- Providing and disseminating KPI and incident reports.- Keeping track of the work budget.- Guiding the reliability service and organization.- Managing and implementing maintenance documents and quality plans.- Monitoring and adjusting the maintenance plan and work follow-up.- Monitoring and adjusting equipment performance.In this role, I served as the right-hand of the contract manager, providing proactive support related to performance, risks, and the work budget. Alongside the contract manager, I participated in VolkerRail's policies.
