City Year Chicago is a non-profit grounded in supporting Chicago Public Schools. I am a Service Leader at a High school where I support first year AmeriCorps Members in the role as Student Success Coaches. I provide daily support, communication, mentorship, and advising, while also leading team meetings and projects. I oversee a team of 5 members to ensure they are reaching their goals with their students, are successful in the role, and developing as professionals. In addition, I act as Student Success Coach to all 9th grade biology courses. This responsibility includes mentoring, tutoring, and coaching in academics as well as social-emotional learning.
