Due to my previous experience in the restaurant industry I was very qualified for this job. My responsibilities were basic customer satisfaction and over seeing my section of the restaurant. The most challenging part about this job was learning to deal with different coworkers who I did not get along with. As a result I learned how to better communicate disagreements using professional decorum.

Retail is a very fast paced environment and very dependent upon customer service. Performing this job allowed me to see the operations of a corporation first hand. I started my employment as a sales associate and quickly understood the value of a customer satisfaction and that it was a direct impact on our sales. Being on the shipmen team allowed me to see the backside of retail. My responsibilities included unpacking, organizing and putting out all the incoming merchandise. After becoming very familiar with the business I asked for more responsibility as the denim expert. I am able to work one on one directly assisting customers because of my knowledge and pride in the product I am selling.

Working for a new small family owned restaurant was challenging but I enjoyed the experience. My capability as a waitress paved the way for a promotion and more responsibility as a day time manager. Responsibilities as a waitress included: keeping track of money, seating and serving customers, and light cleaning. As a manger I was in charge of everyone else including myself. I made the schedule, checked their money, and oversaw customer satisfaction in the entire restaurant.

My responsibilities as a waitress included light cleaning, and serving customers. I also worked part time as a receptionist in the company office. My duties as a secretary included answering phones, talking to clients and ticket sales.

This position was very hard because of its political orientation. My job required a lot of customer service because I oversaw all the student volunteers, coordinated poll pick ups, scheduled canvassing, and assisted in the data entry to compile all the information we found.

As a health educator I went around with a team of students to schools, health fairs, and after school programs providing free information about health. We lead interactive discussion with people ages twelve to twenty one about everything from sex education to mental and physical health. My main responsibility was to provide accurate information in a manner that would be well received.
