Profile bio

About Erynn Johnson, Phd

I have a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics from the University of Minnesota, where I performed innovative research using state-of-the-art multi-omics analytical technology for biomarker discovery and an integrated understanding of co-morbidities in Duchenne muscular dystrophy. I have co-authored four publications, delivered award-winning presentations at eight conferences and symposia, and led multiple cross-functional collaborations that have secured NIH funding for over $150K and yielded new clinical insights for neurodegenerative diseases.During my PhD research, I developed a passion for improving the lives of Duchenne muscular dystrophy patients through the mission-driven development of optimized therapeutic and stress mitigation strategies. My research curiosity is driven by a desire to better understand the interplay of metabolism and human health using an LC-MS based multi-omics platform, bioassays, and genetic tools. I am seeking new opportunities to apply my acquired knowledge and skills in analytical biochemical techniques as a senior research scientist to develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies toward the pursuit of precision medicine and improved human healthspan.
