I tested, documented and participated in the development of InnoLIMS, a laboratory information management and resource planning system. I also handled some customer contacts, advised in the use of the software, participated in sales and trained users.

I taught basic molecular biology laboratoy methods to beginning and intermediate students on and off for ten years. After-course student feedback desribed me as devoted, patient, knowledgeable and inspiring. I also translated two 60-page course workbooks from Finnish to English.

I was involved in a project seeking miRNA methylation relevant for colorectal cancer. I served as the president of the organization representing approximately 140 000 students in Finland. SYL is a highly competent lobbying organization seeking to advance student interests in national politics. It connects, trains and advises the student unions of universities in Finland and is an active member of ESIB - The National Unions of Students in Europe.

HYY, the Student Union of the University of Helsinki, is the largest and wealthiest student union in Finland. During my time as chair of the board HYY had approximately 35 000 members and a yearly budget of roughly three million euros.
