I worked with Interactive-Z part-time on and off for many years, the projects that I worked on were mostly virtual real-estate tours, that needed much care to transcend visual fidelity.• I had the opportunity to write many custom shaders for Unity, including custom SSRR (Screen Space Ray-traced Reflections), realistic wind-affected grass, anisotropic specular, fur, water, among others.• The projects used diverse lighting systems (some used static lighting, others used global illumination, some used standard rendering pipeline, others used HDRP).• But the best opportunity with respect to lighting came when I had to devise a custom light-mapping system that's lightweight for Android/iOS, with support for dynamically loading pre-lit assets.• Worked in close proximity with artists to streamline asset-generation process, including making some models and textures myself demonstrating certain effects to act as examples/tutorials for the art team.• To help accelerate logic programming, I made many scripts simplifying working with events, and utilizing physics and mathematics to achieve reliable results quickly.

Our work at Live includes interactive solutions, ambient solutions, and exhibitions design and implementation, it allows me to explore new tech with every project.● Tracking System: I had the chance to design and implement a software that detects positions of people in region of interest, utilizing on or more stereo cameras.-for faster data-flow, I used CUDA to prepare the data in a C++ Unity plugin-took advantage of Unity's networking and easier manipulation of objects to make the bulk of the code-runs on Windows and Linux● Extended reality: I had the opportunity to make and manage many projects with AR/VR, technologies I used included:-Oculus Rift: used it for an app explaining what to look for when buying a used car-Vuforia SDK: an interactive application explaining Saudi-Arabian official standards for car parts-Google VR: an app describing the dangers of shooting guns in celebrations-Estimote BLE Beacons: used for an "indoor map" project, along with ARCore-ARCore: used for an "indoor map" project● Projector edge-blending: I made a tool to project one continuous image across multiple projectors, so that our apps can have that feature without external dependencies● Motion Controls:-Kinect: I used it in a few projects, most notable is an "electric wall" where people standing in front of the wall would see an electrified version of themselves on it-Leap Motion: used it in a boxing simulator● Countless other smaller tasks, including:-building and connecting with several DBs/backends-playback and recording of media in Unity, as well as transcoding videos to be optimal for different targets-writing Shaders, ranging from simple special blending mode to complicated such as vertex motion or lighting systems-writing code for logic, and helper scripts to facilitate connecting logic block via OOP or using Unity's inspector-kinematic study for smooth objects motion-networking for communication among apps

• Developed prototypes for many games until I started working on a single project called "Pirates Gulf", a network duel between 2 pirate ships, it widened my experience in prototyping, low level collaboration with the artist, short experimental development cycles, and the most interesting thing was consulting the game designer in a continuous manner instead of relying on a “comprehensive” GDD.• Developed a server-side back-end for social integration and networking, its responsibilities include Facebook/Twitter/Instagram authentication, signup/login, maintaining player data (money, stats, purchased items, etc.), as well as handling some logic.
