"Echale ganas mijo!" is something my father told me as a child and continues to do so today. These words of "Try your best son!" are ingrained in my work ethic and push me forward every day, creating a tenacity within me that doesn't yield to life's challenges. My philosophy heading into each day is to have meaning behind my actions, whether it is excelling at my schoolwork or my job responsibilities, so that I can pave a path to a brighter future for myself and the people around me. My bright future includes Supply Chain as my ticket into the world of business to bring me one step closer to achieving my dream of having an executive level company position. Currently, I am a Graduate Student at Western Illinois University working towards my Master of Business Administration. My experiences at WIU have strengthened my top three skills of Leadership, Communication, and Time Management. WIU has also taught me new skills that can prove to be vital in the workplace, such as a professional understanding of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain Management (Global, Warehousing, Transportation, Purchasing, Risk Management, etc.), and an understanding od today's information systems. My internships have given me real world supply chain experience (inventory, warehousing, & truck & rail logistics) and skills, such as Power BI & Data Analysis, that will help me in creating the best work in my future career. Overall, I am a diamond-in-the-rough potential employee who is waiting for their chance to make a difference in corporate America.
