I met founder, Celia Francis online through a dear friend Caty Batten. It was the time of Covid, where online meetings and networking had become the norm. We began bi-weekly conversations over several months, and it twas from these conversations and many others, that the Art of Forests emerged. This network provides forest makers and their mycelium network and opportunity to build friendships, share challenges and opportunities, new technologies, that we believe will ultimately accelerate ecosystem restoration. Our mission: Growing a youth-let grassroots greening movement, activating financial and human resources to engage multi-stakeholders to green urban environments across the continent. Our Vision: Making African Cities some of the greenest and globally competitive cities in the World by 2030. Kijani Pamoja won a place at the table with the World Economic Forum, 1t.org 2020/21 cohort - mass mobilization for ecosystem restoration.
